slowly getting the back room done

I have been mudding the back room there were two new walls in there - that needed to be smoothed out.. But I have nevr done it before and I found it pretty hard....I primed it and painted it the first coat - it is a dark blue and needs a second coat..

I also started looking for firewood to heat the house this winter- I had someone I bought wood from last year - however when I asked for more this spring - he told me he was busy!! LOL SO I called him a few night ago and I have not heard from him so I started looking for more wood on Craigs list. I found someone - and I need to talk to him and get the wood out here.... He says it is mostly ash.. I am going to have to stack the wood to be sure he doesnt short me a cord or two...Then suddenly I realized I could stack it in the barn,,,,, LOL - I had built a wood shed but found out it needs to be 3 time larger! so I was going to have to stack it out side... I really dislike fire wood under snow. even with a tarp it is horrible! so I am going to put the wood in the barn stacked nicely and use the shed as a garden shed!!! I can put in the fountains and the big pots during the winter.. YOu dare not keep any of those out side as they will crack!

Here are my two border collies enjoying the kidde pool. When I first got them - they didn't like water at all. Now they are in the pool all the time. They were 10 months and 18 months when I brought home the boys.

Gosh is it fall All Ready?

The weather gets me into the winter mode. I have to get so many things done before it gets really cold out side. All my plants need to come in - however I want to paint the room - but I have to mud an area - my middle son put a door in the room and said the younger son can mud it LOL !!! Like that was going to happen! If doesn't look good - no one is going to stay in there and visit with me over Christmas!

Busy putting in a couple of posts for some gates. I tried to get all the gates painted this summer but I didn't finish.. Maybe next year?
I have been selling the just shorn fleeces on ebay and etsy - I have sold over 12 -- I am selling the whole fleece not breaking them up into bits. I rinsed all the sheep before I sheared them so the fleeces are wonderful! Clean ! Bright!

November 1 is the breeding date for my ewes

Because I work so much during the school year I finally figured out to make it simple... I am going to have my lambing season during spring break! This way I can shear them and lamb them and have time to do it !!! The lambies will be one month later in the spring and have a bit of a better start!
