Oh NO WHat Happened to Summer!
Summer is almost over and I don't feel that summer even made it here! I did start a flock of Bluefaced Leicester sheep. Sold my Suffolk and I am selling my Border Leicesters. Need to sell my Lincolns but that is harder than I thought.. I did plant a garden and built a couple of shady ARBORS in front of the house and I am building a 10 x 10 foot wood shed to put wood in for the winter... LOL But I don't have much wood to put in it!! Summer went so fast !!! School is starting soon and I will be working two jobs again....

new Blueface ewes
I bought two bluefaced leicesters and they had a full fleece. Oh Boy!I am having so much fun with the fleece. I figured out how to wash it keeping the locks so I can use it with my wooly Love Ewes - the Felted Ewes I have been making for years. I started making them with my border leicester fleeces - but making them with blues fleeces really make them really woolie eweonderful!! Like WoW! Check out my web site in the next couple of weeks and I explain the secret of washing locks - LOL It is so simple - I don't know why I didn't do it sooner! It is so cool to watch the tips of the wool dry and the tinyist little curls show up on the ends.

This is a picture of a lock of Lincoln - left- Middle - Border Leicester and right Blueface Leicester
Ok you can't see the tiny curls in this photo. Maybe it was still wet - LOL

Spring
Spring
Spring is the busiest time for me as I am working more hours at The Home Depot and Subbing - so some days are 14 hours long as I go to a school at 7:00am or 8:00am and head right over to the store and work till closing at 10:00pm.
I have listed some lambs for sale on my web site - but I have had no time to make any graphics
I bought two blue face Leicester ewes and I can't wait to shear them and play with their wool. My farm is going to have three breeds of curlies now - Lincolns with their heavy curls, Border Leicester with their medium curls and now Blue Face Leicester with their fine curls. What fun!!
I just love my life !!!

Happy New Year!
I wish everyone a wonderful New Year!
This picture was taken this morning in the front of the house looking across the road. The sun in the summer comes up behind the house.
Plus I was able to do most of the picture in Photoshop because of John's wonderfully helpful friend.
